Has journalism lost it’s way?

When breaking news consists of scrutinizing the citizenship of The President,        I’d have to say yes. A sad day. It’s disturbing to fathom what the content of newscasts will consist of 5 years from now.

I have to agree with you Donna. I cannot believe the amount of time that has been given over to such a trivial and unimportant matter. I think the president has many serious problems that he must address before we judge whether or not we will retain him as our leader, but the media, for their own reasons, insist on covering the fluff. The media was once considered the watchdog of our society where government is concerned. Now, what they call news is hardly news. Do we really need to know what Lindsay Lohan is doing instead of examining practices of government officials who seem to live high on the hog on the backs of the people? What has become of these watchdogs? I think they are a drooling mass of sheep with their tails between their legs choosing to promote their own agendas.
